Things to know when looking for a lash artist in Hawai’i :
-are they a licensed ? Hawaii requires a esthetician or cosmetology license.
-are they certified ? Certifications help also how long was the certification and how often do they practice?
-if the artist is new do they have a mentor checking their work?
How to gauge if their work is good:
Look for classic lashes and see how clean the set is. I can totally make a video aboug what to look for!

-took a class online and opens a business in their home
One class doesnt make an expert in the field.
To the licensed artist babes:
Babes! Everyone starts somewhere! That’s totally fine sets will not be perfect in the beginning that takes time.
Just because you took a 1-3 day class doesnt make you an expert in the field. Learning in youtube/ socials is great for tips. However, these are not enough for you to open a business especially right out of school. I really believe this for any service skilled industry. Put in your dues and learn somewhere first, if not you’re setting yourself up to fail. You can always grow more get the foundation under your belt first.
